Your Word Is A Lamp To My Feet

At any time we can get lost.

I remember the day when my youngest daughter got lost on the beach. As a parent it was a harrowing experience, as I sought desperately to find her amongst the crowd of people that spread both up and down the long expanse of the beach.

It was only the quick thinking from this little girl, even though she was very young at the time, that she had the common-sense to go up to a Lifesaver and not only tell him that she was lost, but that she could also give him her father’s mobile phone number.

She was found.

Unfriendly Darkness

Darkness is not a friendly place to find oneself in.

There have been times when I have been overwhelmed by the darkness of depression, the blackness of lack, the overcast skies of sickness and the murkiness of hopelessness.

But when I finally came to my senses and then leaned back and into the Word of God it has been as if a shaft of light has penetrated the overwhelming encroachment – and I have been able to get back on the path I had left – filled with faith, hope and clarity of direction once again for the next stage of my life journey.

Trust In The Lord

Spend time in the Word daily and watch how as you ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.’ Proverbs 3: 5,6
