On Forgiveness

muhummad ali

There is so much that I could write about the subject of forgiveness and I could quote many verses from the Bible – but please allow me to simply quote what a great father shared with his daughter.

Here it is from HANA ALI the daughter of the great MUHAMMAD ALI…

‘One day I asked my father why he kept the people that he knew had stolen from him in his life for so long.

He didn’t answer me right away; he was staring down at the floor with a puzzled look on his face.

Finally, after heaving a long sigh, he said, ‘Hana, we are all only human. We all have committed sins – some big, some small. In the end, we all ask God for forgiveness; then we turn our back on our fellow men when they are in need of forgiveness. If God forgives, we too should forgive. Everyone deserves a second chance. Everyone is trying to live the best they can with the hand that they’ve been dealt. It’s not always easy. Life is not equally kind to us all. Remember to treat everyone with respect and equality, and God will always bless you.’
